Mindletter 4: Go with the flow

There has been a long break in my newsletter. But beginning from now, expect 2-3 issues a week.

The reason for this is the following:

In the last month, I have been to Iceland, Spain, and Italy.

Barely having enough time to write short-form content for my Twitter Account.

Writing comments and answering messages.

Doing the bare minimum to keep it going.

But that is how life flows at times. There are periods when the wave moves you up and you focus on your work. Everything turns out fine. But I tell myself not to get complacent then, but to push on.

Setbacks happen, and again I tell myself to move on. Find the lessons. Keep doing what works. Asking honestly what didn’t.

It’s all basic, simple work. But it still needs to be done.

So during the last month, visiting 3 countries, I focused on the minimum. I tried to find the 20% that gave 80% of the results.

For Twitter, this definitely consists of engaging with people. Writing 3-4 tweets a day. Repurposing old threads.

But doing this allowed me to focus on all the beauties around me.

Waterfalls and volcanoes in Iceland.

Hiking, biking, and sleeping beneath the stars in Spain.

Enjoying time with my family on the beaches of Italy.

And practicing mindfulness all throughout.

This is what is possible when you focus on the essentials, have a clear roadmap of where you want to go, and pay close attention to every moment.

Work when you work. Find out what’s most important. Relentlessly do that.

Rest when you rest. Enjoy with all your heart.

Above all don’t resist the flow.

I wish you a wonderful start to the new week tomorrow.

Your “go with the flow” David
